Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Webs-a-gogo understands the importance of being found on the web. We apply the same techniques for you that we used!

Following these guidelines will help Google find, index, and rank your site.
These g
uidelines are good making your website content conform to the Google Search Engines as well as other Search Engines.

·      Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.
(Your Webs-a-gogo WAG-MOD website is already setup to do this)

  • Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 100 or so links, you may want to break the site map into separate pages.
(Your Webs-a-gogo WAG-MOD website comes with a dynamic site map stored on the root of your site directory and is there just for Google and other Search engines)
  • Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.
  • Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.
(These are the keywords you should be using)
  • Naming pictures and images.  Be sure to give all of your images informative file names that can be searched in a meaning ful way by Google and others. For example, instead of your camera given file name such as IMG00023.jpg, or DSC00032.jpg, give the image a useful name for searching such as my-new-black-kitten.jpg.
  • Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. (Don’t replace real text with an image of text) The Google crawler doesn't recognize text contained in images. If you must use images for textual content, consider using the "ALT" (Alternative Text) attribute to include a few words of descriptive text.
(Your Webs-a-gogo WAG-MOD website is already setup to do this based on the other information you enter for your press articles and Catalog items.  For example: If the picture is of a picture of a cat painting entitled “My New Black Kitten”, then the alt text for your image is inserted automatically as: “My New Black Kitten at www.yourdomain.com” )
  • Make sure that your Page Title (located in your Site Setup Identity of your Control Center) is very informative and to the point (only 60 to 80 characters) of describing your company, product, offering or purpose for having the website and ALT attributes (used as alternate text for images when they do not display in a visitor’s browser) are descriptive and accurate.
  • Check for broken links and correct HTML.
(Since all of your links are dynamic, created when you create content, this is more unlikely to happen with your Wbes-a-gogo WAG-MOD website. However, it can happen when you use your MYLinks if you move or remove the destination page or get the link wrong)
  • Links: Keep the links on any given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100).  Links should also be descriptive indicating the content one should expect to see when they click the link.  The page title or product name on the target page should be relevant to the link which brought the visitor there. For example: The Link called “Kittens For Sale” should go to a page with a page title of “Kittens for Sale”, or “Black Kitten for Sale”, or “Siamese Kitten for Sale”.
